AN INTERVIEW WITH ANNA FRAWLEY

This is my first interview and i interviewed Anna Frawley! Actress and radio
DJ from Poland and  the DJ of Anna's Beatle Hour on Radio Wnet!
Was it your idea to start a Beatle hour, or was it suggested to you?
It was suggested to me.
And in your time doing your Beatle hour, what was your highlight?
During the live show my boss who is a major radio celebrity and a huge
fan of the Beatles visited the studio with a bottle of champagne and a
crystal glass and we toasted together on air the third year of Radio Wnet,
which he started. My listeners were very impressed. The American ones
couldn't believe that we had an alcoholic drink at work. He is a very serious
journalist and used to run the most popular radio station. Now he is a
president of the Polish Journalists Society, but he said live on air that
my show is his favourite. He is a true Beatlemaniac.
What music do you listen to that isn't The Beatles?
I love many kinds of music from the classical to a very heavy rock. In
my car it's always the rock station on and my favourite bands are
Guns N' Roses, Led Zeppelin, the Doors, Janis Joplin, Jimmy Hendrix
and more, much more.
Now back to The Beatles The world is full of books and magazines
about the Beatles. But do you ever think there will come a time where there is
nothing more to find out about the Beatles? or do you always think there will
be new stories coming out of the woodwork?
I'm amazed how many photos were taken of the Beatles. I still
come across almost daily of the ones I've never seen before. The power of
the internet! As of the books, it must be a similar story. There are always
people who realize it's a good subject to write about. Some maybe served coffee
to them one day and will write a book about it, others actually have an
interesting take on the never ending story.
In the 60's John Lennons look change many many time, but what would
you say was his best look?
I think John looked great when he was a very young, black leather
clad rebel, he was absolutely perfect in the "A Hard Day's Night" film
and very nice indeed in "Help", "Rubber Soul" and the "Revolver" period,
but I also loved him with the long hair at the time of the
"Walls and Bridges" album.
Your husband is John Frawley a contemporary practitioner of astrolgy, do
you get involved in that kind of thing also?
Only when I need an answer to the exact question. The traditional astrology
is the art and science of the question and answer not the Californian
psychobabble
we see in the media. When your cat is missing you can ask the
question and find out what happened. Not the self-indulgent me, me, me
stuff. I'm great because I'm an Aries doesn't work.
Your husband has also written books also as an author, have you ever
written a book? if you haven't then would you?
I was always very good at writing at school, but for some reason don't
feel that confident these days. You never know though. I've been asked
to co-write a book on the Beatles by a well known music biographer. It
seems however that he wants to do one about the Rolling Stones first. Also
I'm not sure what can we write what wasn't already written. This is coming
back to one of your earlier questions. There are many other subjects
though. Watch this space.
You seem to have a great amount of love and care for the animals and
environment, and i was wondering what you think of the selfies that are
being posted on twitter and facebook of celebs and music stars hunting
and killing innocent animals and should facebook do more to stop this
such thing happening?
It's absolutely disgusting! It really turns my stomach in. These excuses
for the humans are pathetic! These animals have no chance against the
gun caring bastards. They call it sport, but sport is about an even chance.
Animals don't have a gun, neither do they have a pack of the crazed dogs at
their disposal.
And Finally....What art do you find the most pleasing to you?
I love art in general and always did. Fine art is something I am specially
fond of and the wide spectrum of  it. I also absolutely love music, literature,
theater, film and photography, as long as it's what I'll consider to be true.

Coming VERY Soon!

I Will be doing interviews with people from DJ's, musicians, and singers
to artist and much more hopefully. Who knows, i might end up hosting
This Morning OR i might even have my own chat show. Haha i don't
really think so. But i hope that my interviews go down well with any
readers i might have.

Escaping to the sea side

Tomorrow morning i will be packing up and going to Butlins Minehead.
I will be taking photos when i'm there and i'll be posting some of the
most interesting ones here. Every year i take actually thousands of photos,
but this year i want to try and take more artistic and more unusual
photos! So i will post a couple more things tonight, then i will be away
till Friday night.

Sleeping with John Lennon

This to me is so cool, i mean what beatle fan wouldn't want to
own this? But the question is, where do you find it? I have never
seen this exact one for sale ANYWHERE!

Hendrix Guitar art

You don't even know how much i'd love to know who the artist
who painted this is, they are amazing. I found these photos on
Facebook, someone said they had seen it on ebay but i could
never find the link, it must have sold by that time. But it truly
is an amazing piece of artwork, WAY to good to actually use.
But imagine having that hanging up above your bed or something.
WOW!

John Lennon Badges

A set of 5 John Lennon (and Beatle) inspired badges i designed,
and sold to a friend in Poland. I love it when something i have made
ends up in another country, i have art in America, Poland and of course
here in England. I have some more badges that will be showing in the
up coming weeks.

 Psychedelic Canvas Art

Four, psychedelic artworks on canvas. This is really fun, i'd love to do
much more of this. But the thing is it takes up a lot of colored ink
in my pens that i used for this. The texture of the canvas also ruined the
tips of the pens it seems.  One thing i wish is that i could have a massive
canvas, and lots of pens and then see what i can do then.
It would be great fun!

I LOVE ART

I Love drawing and doing most kinds, I have done some sculpting,
drawings, paintings. and so on. I find painting pretty hard though
so i don't do much of that and when i do i don't use paint brushes.
But by fare, for me the hardest thing about art is. SELLING IT!
I do try and do new things (that usually centers around the Beatles)
but i guess i am just in constant search for something that makes me
100% happy. But i often do a drawing and i'm really really happy with
it then when i go back to look at it the next day i no longer find it that
good. The other part of me thinks, sometimes, 'what is the point of doing
all these drawings if no one really looks at them and no one buys prints?
I do enjoy it but i don't post all my stuff on the internet anymore.
But even though i might not be able to sell much YET i know that my life
would not be the same without ART!

Beatles Bags

Two Shopping bags i brought last year. I'd just like to state i have never used these,
i just saw something that was 'beatles' and had to have it.

Patchwork Chair

Another one of the patchwork chairs Gan did, but this one is
from last year.  He sold sadly so i don't get to see this
lovely chair everyday. I love how it looks so posh but at the
same time shabby-chic and then again psychedelic with the
patchwork design.

My Sweet Lord

One of my portraitures of the Beatles i have drawn.
George Harrison from the 1967
I'd Just like to point out print of my artworks are up
for sale, so please Send me an email to jayboy95@rocketmail.com
if your interested in prints and make put the subject as 'beatles art'

John Lennon's Military Jackets

Three Military style jackets that John Lennon used to wear.
I am not here to give your the facts on who made them,
or where he brought them or got them i'm just here to
say that they all look super cool to me. I am lucky enough
to own a replica of  of the Sgt Pepper's jacket as well as the
Army Shirt style jacket. (i wear that most days)
I have seen a few Lennon replica jackets of the army one,
and ALOT of the Sgt Pepper one. BUT i am as of yet to see
a replica of the first one. Maybe there are replica's out there.
And if they are i will track them down, find them and post them
on here.

In your Hippy Van

This van is so cool, im pretty sure most people who are into
the 60's and psychedelic stuff would love this van.
I sure do. So much so i am actually painting my own
car in this a psychedelic style. There will be some photos
to come soon of what i am doing.

Sit down for Peace

I found this photo on Facebook.  Im not sure where it is, but it
really is a great looking bench. Imagine having this in your garden.
How great would that be?

Flower table

This is just what happens when you leave me, and old table,
and a few colors of paint alone for half an hour on a Sunday.

Distressed Psychedelic Table

This is what happens when i have nothing else to do. I built
this table from old bits of wood i found in the garage.
Funny enough i this the universe wanted me to make this
table. I know that sounds stupid, but i do. The woods was
all cut to the right size waiting for me covered in dust and a slug.
I sanded it all down, put some quick dry wood stain on it all.
then i painted in the black and small flecks of white.
So fare its about 40 minutes into the build.
Then i paint in the design on one side that is on the front of
Paul McCartney's Psychedelic piano.
On the other side i painted the word 'family'
I waited for that to dry and gave it two coats of varnish.

Beatles and Scraps

This was something i did using glue, canvas and a lot of
printer ink and paper. Its how i spent one Sunday Afternoon
this past February.

The 'Fab Four' Chair

I was listening to 'Being for the Benefit of Mr. Kite' one night
And i had this idea, i don't know where it came from, but i just
wanted to make this chair. Luckily we had this chair out in the
garage that we got from a car boot sale and never used. So i
set to work on painting them. They took about a week to finish.
And my Gan did the upholstery of the seat. It is now sitting
proudly in my room in front of my computer desk.

Patchwork Relax

This is a chair i have, it was created by my talented Granddad (Gan)
It is made out of old off cuts of fabric then stitched together.
I wanted a psychedelic and arty style chair and i thought this would
be great. But it came out even better then i even though it would.

Now And Then

The song Now and Then by John Lennon is often advertised on
Youtube and Facebook as 'the last Lennon/McCartney song'
But in fact it was a Lennon song and was first recorded as a demo
in 1978.
The song itself was recorded around the same time as his
'Free as a bird' and 'Real Love' Demo's in 1978/79
Here is an art work i did on canvas, one the left under the word
'NOW' is John during the let it be sessions. And the other face
is John during his 'moptop' days in 1964.
I used only my fingers and toothpick to paint with.

And This Is Just The Start!

This is the first post of my blog, it will be a very mixed bag,
I will post some of my original art and illustrations on here.
Like this Alice in Wonderland inspired Psychedelic Rabbit
Illustration i have added above.
I will also post other things i am interested in and like.
Photos, Videos Links and so on.
Expect a lot of psychedelic stuff, and a lot of Beatles stuff also.
